Throughout my life, I’ve had a variety of different jobs. I am a foodie and you would think I would love working around food, even if it meant working in a fast food restaurant. Well, you’d be wrong. I’ve worked in three different fast food restaurants and never could get interested in my work. Anyone who’s ever worked in fast food will tell you that it’s one of the worst jobs they’ve ever had. While I didn’t enjoy working in fast food, I did learn several fast food myths. I warn you though; you may not want to eat fast food after reading some of these myths.
How many adults and children are immune to tooth decay based on what they eat–or on not eating sweets or drinking too much milk? In the early 1930s anthropologists, dentists, and physicians visited the Maya of Yucatan and found they were almost totally immune to tooth decay on their diet of beans, corn, with some vegetables and fruit.
Just what is healthier butter or margarine? Some simple tips on quick methods for what is nutrisystem. Most people will disagree with me right here, but I believe butter is. Butter is an excessive fat that hasn’t been through processed. I love to think that all of these processed food items that we’ve been ingesting is in fact negative for us. I don’t see the rationale why butter is any worse to suit your needs. Infact, they’re essentially the very same in regards to fats articles and other content and energy. I’m not saying that you simply need to eat good sized amounts of butter. I might say the same is true with margarine. The true secret issue to try and do is, use it moderately.
Raw food is bad for dogs are another of the natural Food Myths. While giving your dog’s raw food, practice the same standards of hygiene and precaution. The raw food should be fresh or should be kept refrigerated. Wash your hands and utensils while preparing the food for the dogs. Also the stomach acids of the dog as well as its saliva can effectively destroy many pathogens and micro organisms. Also remember that too much fat can also be troublesome and lead to obesity in them and humans as well.
The Arctic peoples of Asia were immune to tooth decay until they started eating a Western diet of cookies, candy, sugary foods, and lots of white flour instead of their fermented fish and seal meat and fat. So on one hand you have the Maya, immune to tooth decay on a beans, corn, and vegetables diet, and the Inuit or Chukchi, and similar Arctic peoples eating few or no vegetables other than some seaweed, but they, too, with their trace minerals, were immune to tooth decay and many degenerative diseases linked to mouth inflammations. Why?
As kids, we were told not to swallow gum because it will harm our digestion system. This is not a myth, since swallowing gum can lead to stomach aches, gas, and other pains. So make sure to spit out that gum!
In an episode of one of my favorite TV shows, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, there was once a musical episode. In one song Anya sings about her fear of bunnies in which she says “and what’s with all the carrots? What do they need good eye sight for anyway?” I was very disappointed to learn that this is another food myth. While carrots are a good source of vitamin A they do boost your eyesight. The myth began during World war ii when Britain’s air ministry spread the word that carrots helped pilots see Nazi bombers at night. However, the word they were spreading was a lie to cover up the real reason for their success, the Airborne Interception Radar. The secret new system was detecting enemy bombers before they reached them and they wanted to keep the system a secret so they came up with the carrots myth.weight loss, health and fitness, health, nutrition, wellness, dogs, pets, fitness & exercise, fertility & pregnancy, drugs & medications, diseases & conditions, dieting & weight loss, alternative medicine, green, food & wine, education, dating & relationships, crafts & hobbies, beauty, lifestyle
